Glasstronomy Studios is always stocked with the basic necessities for both stained glass and glass fusing. Project kits, special promotions, “what’s new” and Studio custom products are also for sale in studio to both members and non-members. All other product can be ordered by our members from our dealer direct catalogues.
As a service-focused studio, we offer professional panel framing, pattern design, kiln firing, sandblasting, customer support and the guidance needed to select the correct material for your project.
Our latest offering for members is our Studio Spots learning modules page accessible from the Memberships menu. These modules showcase glass materials, techniques, and tools. Click on any applicable module link and it will launch our YouTube channel in a separate browser window. Our members have exclusive access to the entire series. Recently added is a module on painted glass casting. Stay tuned for more!
Non-members can view a sample by clicking here.
Are you looking for something to do this winter? Our calendar has been populated with activities to March 2020. Check out the Workshops and courses – Winter 2020 brochure for our workshops and courses. Registration is now open.
To do our part to flatten the COVID-19 curve and maintain physical distancing, the Studio will operate under a “closed door” policy until Tuesday, April 14, 2020. What does that mean?
We are open for business. We will continue to provide repairs, commissions, project firings, design, and retail services behind closed doors. We have converted our entrance vestibule into a drop off and pick up area. We will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 am to 5 pm by appointment only for drop off and pre-paid pick up.
Purchase of supplies – Call or email your order to the Studio in advance for curb-side pickup of supplies by appointment. We can also ship supplies to you via UPS. You can call us at 905.415.9777 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please understand that at this time, we will not allow drop ins without appointment as we make this serious effort to help beat the spread of the virus.
Kiln fusing services – You can drop off or pick up fusing projects by appointment. You can call us at 905.415.9777 or email us at email@example.com.
Payment methods – We will be accepting payment by etransfer or telephone (MasterCard and VISA) ahead of pick up or shipping.
Isolation glass challenge – We are so impressed by what you are doing in your home studios! Continue to email us pictures of your ongoing projects and we will share them on Facebook and Instagram. Show everyone what Glass means to you.
Stay connected – Let’s keep glass craft alive and well while we wait for these precautionary measures to lift. For kiln or other glass-related questions, please email Melanie Kidd and we will do our best to see you through your projects at home. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Look forward – We still plan to publish a Spring learning calendar and will be offering some different opportunities for you to connect, develop your glass skills, or simply keep you creatively occupied.
Take care and be safe,
Melanie and Elizabeth
