Ask the kiln technician

Kiln firing can feel intimidating and miss-fires are certainly discouraging, but don’t give up! Glasstronomy Studios’ in-house kiln technician is available to members by email or phone with helpful advice pre- or post-firing. Whether it’s troubleshooting a mishap or collaborating and designing a firing program for your next kiln piece, our experienced technician will take the time to assist you on the track to glass firing success.

Tool rental

Members working on their own projects must bring all their own basic tools. Alternatively, tools and other materials can be ordered in advance through our glass and supply purchasing service.

Specialty tools, such as the mini-kilns and lapidary wheel can be rented in-Studio by the half hour. Members receive 20% off the regular fee.
